A Multi-Purpose breed developed by Three Willows Ranch, the Speckled Red has outstanding laying abilities, excelent meat capabilities because of its long, thick breast, and their feathers are great for fishing. They were developed from a few breeds including Mille Fleur Belgian Bearded D'uccles, Speckled Sussex, and Rhode Island Reds. They are mostly a light brown color with white, green and dark brown spots, golden barring, brown spangling, and Mille Fleur patterns. The males have beautiful dark green tails. They make outstanding layers.
